If salvation should be all about DOING, Jesus would have not died. If salvation comes from going to church, witnessing to people, being good, doing godly things, then Jesus’ death on the cross would have not been needed.

You know why?

Because it’s doable.

Paul, the apostle himself said, that by the measures of the Law, he is perfect! He said in Philippians 3:5-6 that, “If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.”

He even #killed Christians being zealous to “obeying the law”. But we know the rest of the story that God saved him and his eyes were opened into WHAT REALLY MATTERS MOST.

It is not the doing, but the #being

It is trusting in what His blood paid for. It is establishing that covenant. It is having that intimate #relationship with Jesus.

So if you have been pursuing to be GOOD today and doing all the religious things just to be able to be accepted in heaven, STOP. There is nothing that you can or can not do that will change His love for you.

Stop doing.

Start being in relationship with Him.

Let go of the weight in trying to please God and make it to heaven. No one can save himself. It is only through Jesus. What He did on the cross that usher salvation. Not what we do, not even all the religiosity of life.

Start a genuine relationship with Jesus. Read the Bible. He will guide you into a life of freedom. Into a life of just BEING with Him…

…then doing great things out of that love covenant.
